The Origin of The Lighterman
For more than 21 years, Lighterman has been a trusted wholesale supplier to both retail shops and wholesale distributors across South Africa. Our journey began with my father, The Original Lighterman. Who started by selling just one pack of lighters. Day by day, shop by shop, he built long-lasting relationships with customers who continue to support us to this day.
His passion, dedication and commitment to fair pricing earned him the nickname “The Lighterman”, a name that became our identity and the foundation of our family business.
As demand grew, my father expanded the product range from lighters to include popular tobacco products and smoking accessories, supplying well-known brands such as Blackstone, Colts RYO and Blackbobs. From there, we moved into hookah (hubbly bubbly) products, charcoal, and vapes, becoming a reliable name in the smoking industry.
With decades of experience behind us, we identified a growing need in the market: high-quality products at competitive prices. This led to the launch of our own product ranges, where we now specialize in:

- Thermal paper rolls (including custom printed rolls with logos for brand exposure)

Our thermal paper division has also grown significantly, now offering multiple types and sizes to suit different quality and price needs, along with full custom branding services that help businesses promote their identity with every receipt.
